Sneads Ferry grew up along the New River, and water covers about a third of the community. That changes how a lot gets cleared, because the ground stays softer and the edges matter more. Away from the water, the land off NC 172 runs to pine and mixed hardwood on bigger parcels. We clear both, from a half acre near the marsh to a wooded tract out toward the Camp Lejeune gate.
Coastal Brush Mowing is owner operated out of Burgaw and has cleared coastal land since 2013. One person answers the phone, prices the job and runs the excavator on your parcel. Our land clearing page covers how the work goes from the first pass to the last load. To get a number on your lot, call (910) 512-9578 or use the contact page.

A lot backing up to the water needs a different plan than a lot sitting well inland. The soil holds moisture, the bank is soft and heavy equipment can cut ruts that take years to heal. We work those lots on tracks and stage material back on firm ground before hauling it out. Any buffer the county or the state requires gets marked before a machine moves.
Plenty of owners here want a water view opened up without stripping the whole lot bare. That is selective work, so we take out the scrub and the leaning stems and keep the good trees standing. We mark what stays first, because a mistake on a view lot cannot be undone. It costs more per acre than a full clear, since the cutting is slower and more careful.
NC 172 runs from US 17 near Folkstone through forest and scattered houses toward Sneads Ferry. The parcels along it are bigger and many have sat untouched for a long stretch of years. On those we clear the drive first, then the building area, then whatever yard or pasture you want opened. We grub the root balls out, since a stump left under a pad settles and cracks it later.
NC 210 ends at US 17 just northwest of town, and land along that stretch keeps changing hands. Sneads Ferry has grown steadily on the back of Camp Lejeune, and raw parcels get bought fast. A tract that stood in timber for twenty years takes a real machine rather than a mower. We bring the excavator and the dump truck, and you choose whether material is hauled off or piled.
